Biovisc Ortho Plus™ is suitable for the treatment of mild to moderate osteoarthritis by the viscoelastic supplementation or replacement of synovial fluid in human joints. Biovisc Ortho Plus™ is recommended for relieving pain and reducing joint stiffness in patients with mild to moderate osteoarthritis by the viscoelastic supplementation or replacement of synovial fluid in human joints. Biovisc Ortho Plus™ provides mechanical protection and acts as a lubricant, while also having anti-inflammatory and chrondoprotective (cartilage protecting) effects.

Biovisc Ortho Plus™ is a medical device that must be inserted into the joint by an authorised medical specialist in accordance with local regulations. Biovisc Ortho Plus™ comes in a 2 ml single-use prefilled glass syringe with Luer-lock adapter in a blister pack. The syringe contains sterile, non-animal derived hyaluronic acid gel. The use of a needle (18G-25G) of sufficient length to inject the gel into the knee joint is recommended.

24 months. Biovisc Ortho Plus™ must be used before the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

Biovisc Ortho Plus™ should be stored between 2 °C and 25 °C. Do not use the injection if the seal is open or damaged. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the label. Keep out of reach of children.

Biovisc Ortho Plus™ does not contain any animal-derived material that could potentially trigger adverse reactions. Biovisc Ortho Plus™ contains natural, non-allergenic hyaluronic acid made by bacterial biofermentation.
