The question arises as to what makes a new product unique in a market brimming with different solutions and promises. First of all, it should be noted that all dietary supplements, vitamins and formulae authorised for sale in the European Union can only contain active ingredients from the same group. All manufacturers and developers may use only these active ingredients in their products. We are all playing from the same score. Differing logics may be used to select those substances from the licensed active ingredients that manufacturers and distributors wish to use in their products. The logic of the alternative practitioner, the dietician, the herbalist and, regrettably, the occasional charlatan can also appear in the selection process. The logic of the pharmacologist, the medical researcher and the clinical physician, however, is encountered most rarely because an artificially generated conflict has developed between pharmacy and the medical world, and naturopathic medicine, mainly for mercantile reasons.

When creating SynergoLAB’s products, we strove to eliminate this conflict. Through our clinical medical, biological, pharmaceutical and naturopathic knowledge, we examined the concepts of health and disease based on complex criteria. We assessed the types of weapons medicine has to prevent and cure certain medical conditions and nutritional deficiencies.

We looked at which types of active ingredients and combinations of them have good clinical evidence and chose the components to be used in our products based on those criteria.

We identified the active ingredients that demonstrated clinical evidence of sufficient quality. We believe that it is imperative that natural substance-based products as well are backed by clinical evidence and that they should only be used efficaciously and safely with reference to that. Our knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry enables us to distinguish precisely between ingredients lacking clinical evidence and those supported by the appropriate literature. We can also distinguish between the quality of different sources of clinical evidence. Hence SynergoLAB’s slogan:

Of the active ingredients which were backed by sufficient evidence, we did not use just one or two in our products, but, in accordance with the combinations used in natural medicine, as many as we could and where possible all of them (ALL IN). Complexity was limited only by the constraints of manufacturing processes and product affordability. We believe that nutritional deficiencies never have a monocomponent basis, i.e. are not due to the absence of a single factor. Thus the solutions, too, must be accordingly complex. It is the synergism of the individual active ingredients that makes our products unique. That is why we chose the name SynergoLAB.
